Is The Lactic Acid In Octreotide Similar To Lactose Content In Milk?
Is the lactic acid in Octreotide similar to lactose in Milk? If I have a problem with statin drugs for cholesterol are the same problems similar with Octreotide? My mouth became swollen after the last injection. The doctor said I had cold sores but my whole upper lip was swollen.
Lactic acid and lactose are not similar compounds.
Lactose is milk sugar composed of glucose and galactose.
It is hydrolyzed by an intestinal enzyme called lactase.
Lactic acid is a product produced in the body during the course of metabolism. It's a level above 1 mmol/L causes lactic acidosis.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
