Is The Loss Of Taste Related To Intake Of Medication For Stroke?

Hi, My father had a minor stroke one year back. Subsequently he was treated and prescribed some medicine by doctors. Afterwards, while his condition improved, he always complained about lack of taste while eating any food. Most of the time he finds it bitter. We thought it was due to the effect of medicine he was taking. But the lack of taste/ taste distortion is still continuing. My question, is the loss of taste related to stroke, can it be restored, or where should we consult?
