Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently fell in the shower and landed weirdly. I fell on my butt with my right leg from the kneecap up turned inwards and my foot up to my lower leg turned outwards--like a triangle. I hit my left elbow, left buttock, right knee, and the ball part of my right big toe on the way down. I m experiencing right knee pain and right foot pain (which makes sense) and now significant lower back pain. I suffer from fibromyalgia and chondromalacia patellae. I m 20 years old. Is my lower back pain from my fall?
Current lower back pain is seemingly related to fall only, which may be muscle sprain or stretch, nerve compression, vertebra
compression, fracture or else. In my clinic, after adequate trial of medications with analgesic, anti-inflammatory properties, local analgesic spray, ointment, assisted physiotherapy and postural adaptations, if needed I suggest an MRI of the lower spine to evaluate the internal details of the same.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
