Is The Medication Of Klonopin 1 Mg Safe, And What Causes Anxiety Surfacing?

Been on lexapro 10mg 1 year am. Recent stressor 2 months ago left me with morning anxiety...tightness in the chest, nervous feeling that surfaces as soon as wake up.....decipates around 10 am gradually throughout day. Had to start taking 1 mg of klonopin at night to survive overwhelming mornings. What can attribute to anxiety surfacing so strongly in morning? Is 1 mg klonopin safe dose? Should it only be for short term use?

It is potentially addicting. Already the concept that one takes a pill to handle a not very serious condition is part of the discussion and it need not be. Cognitive behavioral therapy would be quite effective. Also checking on other medical conditions (thyroid, diabetes, reflux, copd, sleep apnea or other sleep issues, others) would generally be done. Hormone levels such as cortisone fluctuate in the a.m. and changes of them occur in depression and fixing depression fixes them.
Klonapin is not generally given longer than a month or so.
