Is The Pain In The Abdomen Due To Urine Infection?
hi, i've got urine analysis done which shows 10-12 pus cells & 20-30 epithelial cells.....post a 3 days treatment with zenflox-oz antibiotic....i've got a urine culture & sensitivity test done today....but i've pain in abdomen & lower back....i'ld like to know is this pain due to the urine infection.....
Hi and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety. Urine culture is the sensitive test to detect UTI,or urinary infection. The pain could be due to UTI or some other cause,like stone,etc. This can be diagnosed on an ultrasound-KUB,with residual urine estimation. You may take an analgesic to relieve the pain,till all reports are available. Drink atleast ten glasses fluids daily. You may send all the reports to me,as a direct question,for an expert opinion.
