Is The Protruded C5 And C6 Causing Pain In Neck?

I have an enlarged thyroid with many nodules (6mm is the largest). In the past 10 years, I have also experienced severe neck pain. My blood work came back normal, but my scan showed protrusion to the C5 and C6. Could this be causing my problems swallowing and pain in my neck, shoulder, and arm/hand?

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi,

Your neck problems are unlikely due to thyroid as the nodules are very small. Your neck pain will be due to the disc prolapse which may be compressing the nerves to your neck.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
