hiii, see i went to the doctor for this thing on my knuckle which looks like a wart. they froze it various times and they gave me this acid kind of treatment for it. nothing worked so i went to the doctor again and she said that it was a scar or something because the top is flat, and it is red-ish. the skin on it gets really dry and crusty though like a wart, i can just peel off the skin on it sometimes, is it really a scar? and can you tell me more about how to get rid of it?
I can understand your concern for the red, dry and crusty scar on skin after wart removal.
After reading your history I can make out the possibility of simple crust or scab of the area which you are trying to take out again and gain in anxiety of wart. It appears as flat topped reddish area if it is not completely healed the area of skin. It is due to mild thickening of the skin which leads to kind of spot which you have described.
Do not pinch, pop or scratch the area. Keep the area dry and wear cotton clothes. I suggest you to apply bland emollient moisturizing cream for 4-5 time sto keep it moisturized. Take antihistamine such as loratadine or cetrizine if itching is present. Do not apply any mixed cream or mixed ointments as it causes further aggravation of the problem.
Take care.
