Is The Self-medication Right For A Hard Spot With Pus On My Thigh?

Hello there. My name is Erin. Female, age 18. I was in the bathroom when I noticed a very hard spot of the inside of my thigh. Without thinking, I pressed down on it and noticed pus coming out. I ended up draining out the thing myself. It wasn t painful to do or hard to drain, just gross. I put some antibacterial solution I had gotten from a cyst I had in the past and a breathable bandaid on it. I realize now I should have gone to the doctor and had them do it, but was this a good treatment method for this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you have done the right treatment draining it and using antibacterial cream. You can still get to doctor to examine it and say if it is in good conditions or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
