Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Jyothi B L's Response
Hello Your child's stool examination results indicate that she is having a intestinal infection called Amebiasis. Presence of pus cells point towards an infection. EH is Entamoeba Histolytica,(protozoan) the causative organism of Amebiasis. This may be asymptomatic or might cause chronic diarrhoea or fulminant dysentery with blood and mucous in stools. You have mentioned about fever. Does she have loose stools or watery stools? Do consult your doctor at the earliest to control the infection. Hope I have clarified your query. Regards
