Is The Treatment Suggested For Pain In Ear Fine?

my 4 year daughter yesterday reported pain in right ear and in the night she was having fever .today morning we consult doctor and she suggeted advert fourte syrup for 7-10 days and flexon for 3 days after every 8-9 hours .is this treament is fine .please suggest

Hi,your daughter might have suffered from Acute Otitis media because of which she suffered from Ear pain and fever.Acute Otitis media is very common in children and it is mostly due to cold.

The following medicines given by your Doctor:Advert forte syrup for 7-10 days.It contains Antibiotic(Amoxycillin and Clavulanic acid).Flexon for 3 days.It contains Analgesic and Antipyretic(Ibuprofen and Paracetamol).This treatment is fine.

If your daughter is also suffering from cold,it is advisable to give her Oral and nasal Decongestants.

Avoid eating cold foods.Steam inhalation with the help of nebuliser might also help.
