Hello Doctor, I have hep c and My ultrasound or my liver and spleen came back and I was wondering what it all means. Liver: The echotexture slightly coarse. It measures 143 mm in length at the mid- clavicular line. There is n o discrete liver lesion. Portal venous flow is toward the liver and hepatic venous flow is toward the IVC. Spleen: The spleen is homogeneous in echotexture and measures 125 x 52 x 71 mm. Everyting else is normal.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows: 1. Coarse echotexture of liver indicates, ongoing inflammation. It indicates possibility of cirrhosis or hepatitis. Biopsy would be necessary for confirmation. 2. Spleen is normal. It is showing homogenous architecture. 3. Both liver and spleen size are normal. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
