Is The Undetectable HIV+ Shows Negative In The Results?

I am HIV+ but also undetectable. My best friend wants me to get tested with her, but I don't want her to know that I am positive. It's a secret I'd only like to share with a partner. Will the test come back negative because it is undetectable in my system?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM.

HIV antibodies are not detectable only in the "window period" which ranges from 3 weeks to 12 weeks from exposure after which it should become detectable if the individual is HIV positive.

There is no such thing as undetectable if you are HIV positive.
Strategy commonly used for detection is the three kit strategy, where two consecutive test results should show positive to confirm that the individual is HIV positive.

Thanks.
