Is The Withdrawal Causing The Unusually Heavy Period And How Long Does This Usually Last?
I stopped taking a steroid medication two days ago called fludrocortisone because my cardiologist found out it was affecting my diabetes. I was having my regular menstrual period when I stopped taking the medication and now it is excessively heavy and shows no sign of stopping. I'm concerned because I also take iron supplement for low iron. Is the withdrawal causing the unusually heavy period and how long does this usually last?
It depends how many days and what dose you have taken. You are advised to get CBP, ESR , USG-PELVIS , Iron profile done as basic investigation to know the exact reason behind your problem.
