Hello I was diagnosed with tonsillitis yesterday and have been taking my ibuprofen 600 and my amoxicillin 500. I still feel horrible my throat is still hurting really bad I have bad body aches and neck pain and a stuffy nose. Can I take theraflu along with these medications as another pain and symptom reliever?? Thanks Jessica
HI. Sure you can take Theraflu, the contents are acetaminophen (paracetamol) (1000 mg), chlorpheniramine maleate (4 mg), dextromethorphan hydrobromide (30 mg), and pseudoephedrine hydrochloride (60 mg). So you have to stop Ibuprofen. This is Over the counter medicine and very effective in Tonsillitis, Neck pain and Nasal Congestion along with amoxicillin . Take a bed rest also.
