Is There A Link Between Hair Fall And Muscular Pain And, Hemochromatosis And Regular Phlebotomies?

I have Hemochromatosis, have regular phlybotomies, but I am so tires still, I am 55, I have had a hysterectomy four years ago...my Tsh level ua 4,4l, I am loosing hair, my joints and muscles hurt....my doctor tells everything is normal....my cholesterol level is 239/72 what do I do they do not listen...I normally a very active person....

Hello and welcome to HCM,

I read your query and understood your problem.

Our hair has growth cycle and after a long period of stress our hair all of a sudden reaches to a terminal phase where they start falling. That stress in your case id hemochromatosis/ phlebotomy. this condition is called telogen effluvium.

Take a healthy diet rich in fruits and veggies, take biotin and antioxidant supplements, use shampoo with biotin and peptides. It will gradually stop in time.
