Is There A Possibility Of Ovarian Cancer From Ovarian Cyst?

hi, i have an ovarian cyst, i was diagnos 5 years ago and according to my OB its not malignant and it measured 4cm last 2010,then on 2013 i went back for TVS again and same measurement my question is their a possibility that i may got an ovarian cancer coming from ovarian cyst?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. There are certain findings in the ovarian cysts like septations, increased blood supply, solid components, increasing size and increased tumour markers in blood, which indicate the chances of malignancy.
However, a clear cyst with same size over so many years is most likely not cancerous. Final diagnosis can be made on histopathological examination.
