Hello and welcome,
I understand your concern. The return to
fertility after depo shots is immediate in most cases. This means that most women are fertile as soon as the period of depo shot [ usually 3 months after the last shot] is over.
So if you did not conceive for 1 1/2 years after stopping the shot, it indicates that there was some problem with conception. This is not related to the shot. Some women do not ovulate regularly or there are problems with sperms,
cervix and sometimes the sexual contact is not timed at the fertile period.
There is no need for any drug to flush the shot out. The shot is out of the system spontaneously by 3 months.
I suggest that 3 months afte the last shot you start trying to conceive. Track ovulation with the help of ovulation predicting kits and keep sexual contact on those days for maximum chances of getting pregnant. If you do not conceive in 3 months, see a doctor and get evaluated. A ovulation study will be very helpful and if there is no ovulation then drugs like
clomiphene will be useful.
The fertile peirod for women with regular cycles is from day 10-20 with maximum chances between day 12-16. So keep contact on these days.
All my best wishes are with you.
Hope this satisfies your query.
