Hi,

Sarcoidosis is a multi system inflammatory disease in which granulomas or clumps of inflammatory cells, develop in various organs, especially affects the lungs and skin. Acthar or repository corticotropin injection can be used to treat sarcoidosis. But, anti-malarial treatments, Cyclophosphamide, Cyclosporine, Adalimumab, Azathioprine, Methotrexate, Prednisone, Infliximab, Rituximab, NSAIDS or non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs etc., are alternative for treating sarcoidosis.

But if you want to change your current medication to treat sarcoidosis, then you should consult your doctor first and your doctor will decide the best medication for you to treat sarcoidosis. Again, according to some studies, 1-8% cases are fatal and up to 9.7% of patients can die from stage 4 sarcoidosis.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
