Is There An Alternative For Plavix, Blood Thinner?
Last year I had a stroke due to I had been taken off my blood thinner. I had a rash on my body that when they did a biopsy it showed it was due to a medication. Since I take several, they started taking one at a time off for several weeks. My Dr. finally took me off Plavix my blood thinner and did not advise me to take anything else and a few week later I had my stroke. The only thing it has affected is my vision on my right side in both eyes. Is there any other medications I can take for a blood thinner?
Sorry to hear of your disease. In fact, the rash is a bit common with Plavix. If you have a rash with it we have a number of an alternative that can be used. These include aspirin, dipyridamole, and cilostazol. So you can discuss with your doctor to use any of the alternative drugs to reduce the risk of further strokes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
