Is There An Interaction Between PIN-X And Insulin?
My wife has been battling ringworm for 8 weeks and has it on her body in multiple places. She is an insulin diabetic and a relative (after consulting his doctor) was instructed to use OTC PIN-X to treat ringworm AND pinworm. All symptoms cleared quickly. My nephew is 25 years old and my wife is 50. Should we be concerned about this OTC medicine with her insulin? She weighs about 170 Ibs. Her liver is fine.
hi there Pyrantel, the active ingredient of PIN-X is a regular anti parasitic medicine given to patients . This is like an antibiotic and so is not found to interact with insulin usually
So I would suggest that there is no problem in giving both the medicines. Best of luck Dr Saumya Mittal
