Is There Any Chance Of Gastroenteritis Virus Spread?
Hi my names Johnny. I've been to the doctors and I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis around one weeks ago. Two days after symptoms stopped my girlfriend came to my house and visited me to make sure I was fine. I kissed her and she ended up getting sick herself. About two days after her symptoms stopped I stopped by her place make sure she was doing well too. We also kissed and now Im feeling sick. Is it possible that the virus could have spread back to me?
Hi yes Gastroenteritis is contagious up to two weeks after you've recovered. Most likely you are effected by viral gastroenteritis,I would suggest you to go for a microscopic test of stool to find out if gastroenteritis is viral or bacterial or protozoal. In case of it being bacterial or protozoat antibiotic nd anti protozoal therapy would be given for 5 days. Avoid direct saliva contact for 1 week.
