Is There Any Correlation Between Partially Empty Sella And Chondromalacia Patella?

Is there any correlation between partially empty sella and chondromalacia patella, I m 28 years old lady, I ve been diagnosed with chondromalacia patella which is a result of muscle weakness as my doctor said. however, two months ago, I did Brain MRI, which results in partially emty sella, neurologist told me that it is normal, and there is no need to further work up. I want to know if there is any relation between PES and my knees pain.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

These two things are not related to each other. Chondromalacia patella is related to wear and tear of the knee joint. Partially empty sella can be a normal finding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
