hello, placenta is feeding part to baby and attaches to womb. whenever if it is nearer or at cervical opening v can say low lying placenta. as weeks of pregnancy progresses placenta proceeds to upwards where cervical opening facilitates easy vaginal delivery. if it stays permanenly u may require elective ceasarian or if it bleeds u may require emergency ceasarian surgery. advise is not to travel to stop that unfurtunate bleeding. take care and all d best.
