Is There Any Doctor Available To Analyse This Report?

i had my PA xray and they had a doubt with it so they repeated the xray.. the result was ptb minimal undetermined activity. I dont have any history of ptb i never been sick nor have any symptoms of it so i was really shock about the result. I consulted a pulmonologist and the doctor told me that it was already a scarred, that it is inactive. The doctor says i dont need to take any antibiotic and just boost up my immune system and repeat cxr after 6 months for surveillance purposes only,,, is that mean i'm really not sick? is there a posibility that it will be active again?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

PTB is accompanied by weight loss, two months unexplained cough and continuous low grade fever in evenings. In X ray any scarring is said to be inactive disease if it remains unchanged on two X rays taken 6 months apart. That is why you have to repeat X ray after 6 months for confirmation. PTB needs to be confirmed by other biochemical tests.
