Is There Any Doctor Available To Interpret This Report?
hi. i am married for 10 months and last june i had a tranvaginal ultrasound which showed thin endometrium (0.5cm) although im already on my day 10 of my cycle. my doctor told me its should not be thin at this time... is it really abnormal? hope you can enlighten me... thank you
Hello and welcome to HCM, The endometrium undergoes proliferation under the influence of estrogens during Follicular phase he first half of menstrual cycle called follicular phase. Follicular phase lasts for 14 days during first half of menstrual cycle. During this phase estrogen is secreted and the endometrium thicknes and it may reach upto 10 mm in thickness. In your case the endometrium is only 5mm. A thickness of 5 mm is less. This could be due to decreased amounts of estrogens in blood. You need to consult gynecologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations. Deficient estrogen state can be the cause of thin endometrial
