Is There Any Other Alternate Medication For Arjunarisht?
Doctor Good Afternoon, Sir, today I read on one site that Arjunarisht cannot be used by Obese person otherwise fat can be increase. Sir, my cholesterol and others always high in my lipid profile. So, I usual take the arjunarisht. Kindly advise me if other medicine is good for me.
** 1. till date there is no scientific research or evidence that Arjuna can increase lipid level in person because it is a cardio tonic [which gives strength to the heart],moreover it increases the good cholesterol i.e. HDL [high density lipo- proteins] which might be your concern.
PS. Terminalia Arjuna Effects On Blood Lipids & Cholesterol:
Hypolipidemic effects i.e. normalizing the increased lipids in blood is exerted by this medicinal herb. Increased triglycerides and cholesterol levels are normalized. It enhances the turnover cycle of LDL [bad]-cholesterol in Liver, and increase in HDL [good] component of lipid profile results from suppression of cholesterol biosynthesis in Liver.
2. still if you are reluctant to use it, you may opt for "Parthadyarishta" which contains bark of Arjuna.
PS. make sure "arishta" is taken with equal amount of water [daily twice] and after food and not on empty stomach, also not to be taken by diabetics as may raise blood sugar in them
Hello As per your knowledge of Arjunarishtam is wrong. It never increases fat. So you can take it without any tension. although it will beneficial to control cholesterol too. Take it after meal adding warm water in it.
