Is There Any Permanent Solution For Turbinate Hypertrophy?

I am a 20 year old female with turbinate hypertrophy. I had a laser assisted turbinate reduction at age 19, but the problem has persisted. I have taken all kinds of medication, and they rarely make any difference anymore and instead have caused damage to my intestines and kidneys resulting in digestive disorders. I don t want to take any medicines anymore and I just can t wait till the turbinates are completely blocking my nose again like they were when I got operated the last time. They are already large enough to widen thr bridge of my nose again. Is there something I can do to be rid of these for good?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care question. The only true way to reduce the hypertrophy of the turbinates is to have them removed completely. I do not know if this even a viable option. I would recommend you discuss this with your ENT doctor to see if removal of your nasal turbinates is a option for you
