Hi
I am Dr Mittal, Diabetician
I have read your query
And will try to answer it.

There are a large number of tablets that are available for control of sugars.
Metformin, Glimipride, Glyburide, Sitagliptin etc. The market is practically full of these medicines.

A fluctuant HbA1C could be due to a rebound hyperglycemia. Your HbA1C started at 7.5. Then HbA1C was 5.5. The sugar control was probably too tight. Personally I would have reduced the dose of your medicines.

When you develop low sugar, say eg due to medicine intake, the body tries to increase the sugar. And then it spikes. I have a feeling it may be due to that.

Have you had corresponding FBS and PPBS tested? I would suggest you do if not.

Let me know the reports of FBS and PPBS and I may be able to help you further
