Is There Any Possibility Of Pregnancy Right Away After Stopping The Birth Control?
I had my first daughter in January, I got the depo shot for 2 months. I had to end up changing to the norg ethin estra birth control pill because the shot was causing me problems. I haven't taken the pills for two weeks now, and haven't had a period yet but had some spotting. Was wondering could I get pregnant right away after me stopping the birth control or would it take some time?
Hi, Welcome to HCM, It is possible to become pregnant if you miss your pills, specially after first 14 days of period. You have not given complete information though, when did you have taken last inj Depo, when did you started your pills, did you get your normal period after stopping Inj Depo. When was your first day of last period, and how was your menstrual cycle before taking Inj Depo? Why did you stop pills? Are you planning to become pregnant? Anyway, if any doubt of pregnancy, do Home pregnancy test on your first morning urine. SPotting could be due to withdrawl effect of pills. I would advise you to take hormonal pills exactly as advised by your Doctor. Best wishes Dr H Hamdani
