Hi, Usually, calpol is the safest drug to reduce fever in young children. However, if fever does not subside even after taking it, then meftal-p can be given to the young children along with calpol syrup. But remember meftal-p (mefenemic acid) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which can cause gastritis that can be avoided if it is given after the meals. Along with the medicines, tepid sponging should be done to lower the raised body temperature and give her plenty of fluids to maintain hydration. Hope I have answered your question.
