Is There Any Risk After Knee Replacement And Stent Implantation Done Within Short Gap From Each Other?
I had a total knee replacement on July 29th, 2013. No complications at all, good as new. Had a stress test 10/11/13 and was sent straight to hospital and had a stent implanted. Do I have anything to worry about with these two procedures done so close together. I am a 60 year old trim man. Thank you
Hi . There is no risk if total knee replacement (TKR) is done in July and stent placement was done in November. You need not be worried. Major surgeries are contraindicated for 6weeks after heart heart attack. There are no such contraindication following TKR. Moreover stent placement in heart is life saving procedure. You made a good decision. Don't worry. Take care.
