Is There Any Treatment To Fill The Gaps Between Front Teeth ?
HELLO DOCTOR , I AM AMIT, AGE 26 YEARS. I HAVE A BIG GAP BETWEEN MY FRONT UPPER TWO TEETHS. WHAT ARE THE TECNIQUE AND APPROX COST FOR FILLING THIS GAP? THANK YOU.
Large gaps between the tooth act as self cleansing areas and usually do not lead to food lodgement, but small spaces incorporate food debris and irritants.
If spaced dentition can be treated by orthodontic measures, other method to treat spacing is restoration of the teeth by composite filling or by prosthetic crown.
I suggest you to visit to Orthodontist get an OPG radiograph done which will show the entire picture of level of gums and teeth spacing depending upon which the treatment will be decided.
Hope this helps out.
Regards.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
A diastema is a space or gap between two teeth. It appears most often between the two upper front teeth. However, gaps can occur between any two teeth.
Sometimes, a diastema is part of a set of problems that require orthodontic treatment.
If you want it done in one visit, then bonding is the way to go. Bonding is considered a permanent material, but that doesn't mean it will never need to be redone, it most likely will at some point. Orthodontics might be the best choice, but it takes longer and will be more expensive, people get braces, which move the teeth together. Often, no matter where the diastema is, you must wear a full set of braces — on both your upper and lower teeth. That's because moving any teeth affects your entire mouth.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Spaced dentition can be treated by orthodontic measures like application of fixed appliances to move the upper front teeth together by orthodontic wiring.
other than this method spcaed dentition can be treated by restoration of the teeth by composite filling or by prosthetic crown.

Treatment charges may vary according to the treatment plan , so please get the examination done by a dentist.
Hi amit, the gap you have mentioned between your upper teeth is called Diastema.
The treatment mainly depends on the size of the gap. The traditional approach in such cases include Braces, Invisalign, or Direct dental bonding to make the teeth wider and thus fill up the gap. Though one problem with orthodontic correction is relapse: There is a strong probability for the gap to reappear after treatment. This can be addressed by bonding a permanent retainer to the inside surfaces of the teeth. Or elastics that are designed to pull the front teeth together and close the diastema can also be used.
Its better to visit a dentist/ Orthodontist so that he could checkout the severity of the gap and suggest you an expert opinion.

hey amit....there s othr option 4 u as well.....u might need a frenectomy, followed by ortho treatment,if the gap is more...if the gap is mild ,it can be treated endodontically by composite build up or by doing root canal in the two teeth followed by crowns in both the teeth....but first of all a dentist should see your condition and treatment depends simultaneously.......u l b alryt...ther s nothing to worry.......
Hello Amit,
Gap between your teeth should be evaluated by your dentist and a possible treatment planning can be done. Mostly a removable orthodontic appliance is needed if the gap is not very big, or composite restoration is other option. The cost of treatment depends on the treatment. It you want a cheaper treatment you can head to any dental college.
Take care.
