Is There Any Way To Check Colon And Intestines Except By A Colonoscopy?

Yes Sir. I had a good part of my stomach removed in 1984 then in 1985 adhesions broke my intestines. I have had problems ever since but doing ok but now I have had 2 colon checks and not been successful is there any other way to check colon and intestines except by a colonoscopy ? Adonna

Hello.Since a few years ago is used the called "virtual"colonoscopy . A small tube is inserted in anus and bowel images are obtained performing CT or MRI. It is a less invasive technique but its effectiveness to detect intestinal lesions is too less.
