I m 24year old girl from Kerala, India. My problem is I have colaboma of Iris in my right eye since birth, and no vision to that eye. When I was child, I didn t have squint, or was not able to notice any mistake in direction in my eye, my parents told. But gradually squint started in the same eye. In May 2000, I had a surgery for cataract in the same eye from aravinda eye hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil nadu. That time the squint was too small, that doctor told let it grow up to maximum, and then will do the squint surgery, most probably in the age of 18. I used to have eye checkup once in a year. Now the problem is, doctors are saying that squint surgery can t be carried out for me due to 2 reasons: 1. There is no vision to the right eye, so even if the surgery is done, after 4-5 years, the eye will go back to its original position. 2. The eye muscle of my right eye is too soft, already a surgery for cataract have been carried out in that eye. So again if a surgery is carried out to that eye, that eye will shrink. I want to know whether there is any way to correct my eye. Vision is not a problem. I want to correct the squint of my eyes. Is there any way to correct it ?
