Hi doctor can any help to my sister her age is 28 and she has completed 9 month but as per the today doctor scan report they are saying that baby heart beat has stoped so is there any chances to re-gain the heart beat in coming days if any tips are there please provide..
This is indeed a very unfortunate incident and I share your emotions.
However unfortunately once the heart beat has stopped then it is not possible to regain it and delivery of the baby as soon as possible is needed.
It would help to look for the reason for this incident. Many times anomalies in the placenta or the umbilical cord, genetic defects in the baby as well as infections in the mother lead to such issues. So discuss this with your doctor and get the patient as well as the baby evaluated so as to prevent such an accident in future.
I understand your predicament. All my good wishes are with you for future.
Hope this satisfies your query. Thanks for using HCM. Feel free to ask any more questions that you may have. Dr Madhuri Bagde Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist
Hi, thanks for writing.. There is no way to regain the stopped heart beat.. But get a scan repeated to see for cardiac activity.. the exact cause of the demise of the fetus should be detected to prevent the recurrence of the same in future pregnancy..If cardiac activity has stopped it would be better to terminate this pregnancy at the earliest.. Hope i have answered your query.. good day..
