Hi,

Symptoms are more important in the treatment as a patient than MRI reports so kindly let me know what symptoms you are experiencing at present! In the absence of any symptoms, these MRI findings have no significance and can be due to age or occupation or your posture related. So, these findings appear to be harmless if you have no symptoms. If symptomatic, then weight reduction will help if you have a body mass index of >25 (weight in kg divided by square of height in metres).

Do you have lower backache with numbness/tingling/burning/radiation of pain to the back of the leg on the left side I am assuming that you are post-menopausal (age 46 years). Tamoxifen has a menopause-related effect on the bones. In the pre-menopausal age group, they cause decrease bone density (osteoporosis) while in the post-menopausal state they have a reverse effect. Still, I will suggest you start calcium and vitamin D supplement if you are not already taking them. Keep visiting your oncologist for a regular checkup of the recurrence of cancer.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kaushal Deep Singh, General Surgeon
