Is This Blood Pressure Reading Safe For A Heart Patient?
I take natural supplements, vitamins, minerals and need to stabilize my blood pressure. currently it ranges 139 over 81 . I had bypass surgery 1.5 yrs ago. Is that reading okay for me. I have problems taking prescription drugs so not taking any presently.
1. As you have not mentioned your AGE thus I will put your blood pressure measurement as " pre-high blood pressure" or pre-hypertension which means you are at cardiovascular risk, as such checking with a Cardiologist is necessary. [since you have bypass surgery in past]
2. Since medications are not recommended at this stage as such dietary and lifestyle changes are enough: . low salt diet. . maintain ideal body weight. . take more of fresh fruits and vegetables. . regular morning walk and moderate aerobic exercise
