Is This Dosage Of Cefixime Advisable For Typhoid Fever?

I have typhoid fever since last 3 yers .i takes 200 mg(cifiximine antibioticks ).when i taks high dose i feel very bad and heated.so i can,t take more power antibiotics.after 7to 8 days intervel i becomes relpes even after dose is continued and i takes boiled water.

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that the Dose of Cefixine in treating Typhoid Fever is 15-20 mg/kg/day PO divided q12hr for 7-14 days. You also need to take antacids like Rabeprazole along with it to avoid above said symptoms.
