Is This Sonography Report Foetal Pole And Sac Is Present Normal?

i m 2 months pregnant bt in sonography no cardiac activity is seen n my foetus is only 6 week 2 days old according to sonography report.foetal pole and sac is present.....is there any problem in my pregnancy?????it is my secon pregnancy n i m 30 years old...plz help me....

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

Fetal cardiac activity is seen around 6 to 8 weeks of pregnancy. Absence of heart beat does not mean anything wrong. You must get ultrasound scan repeated after 15 days to assess fetal heart beat once again. Your situation is very common and due to variation in normal development early in pregnancy.
