Is Thrush A Common Symptom While Teething In Infants?
My baby is teething and has developed thrush is this common while teething or is this just two different cases. Also She's on a antibiotics for ear infection, she has also developed a sore on the outside of mouth not quite on the lip but close to crease of mouth
As per your query your baby is teething and developed thrush .Well thrush usually occur during teething and it is not a serious .As you mention that you baby is on antibiotics ,so it act as add on factor contributing in causing thrush ,because antibiotics can disturb immune system.
I would suggest you to apply topical anti fungal cream (miconazole)with the help of your figure or cloth.
Ask your doctor to about continuation of antibiotic course
Give your baby good diet which can boost her immune system.
If you are breastfeeding apply apply anti fungal cream to your nipples before feeding and wash off after feeding.
