hi i concieved in the month of august and aborted on sep 10th. I was tested with TSH value 39. my doctor had put me on thyronorm 100mcg and now my TSH has come down to 2.4 and advised to continue with same dosage till end of nov. she said i can try concieving after 3 months. please suggest if this ok or any other risk would be there. I cant the pain of loosing my baby again.please advise..
Hi Yes. This value of TSH is normal. You can definitely try conceiving now. There is no risk to the baby with this TSH level. Also start taking one tablet of folic acid daily. Continue to take thyronorm even after conceiving. This hormone is extremely important for baby's brain growth in the first trimester and also for baby's all round growth through out pregnancy. The baby is completely dependent on mother for thyroid hormone in the first 10-12 weeks. Thyronorm does not harm the baby.
