Is Thyronorm To Be Taken Life Long Or Can Be Stopped Once TSH Is Controlled?

I m on medication for thyroid. My blood pressure was 145/90 & TSH level was 8 when i first did the test. My Dr. prescribed thyronorum 25mcg & TSH level was 6.52, then 14.72, and later 6.06. Now he has increased it to 75mcg. My blood pressure has come to 130/70. Do i need to take the thyroid and blood pressure medicines lifelong or it will be stopped once the TSH is under control.

Good day,
noted your concern.
The most common type of hypothyroidism is auto immune hypothyroidism
(hashimoto's). In this condition, it is often life long. Blood pressure medicines have to be taken life long. You may do an Anti TPO and if that is significantly positive, then you have to take Thyronorm life long. But not to worry. Hypothyroidism is a simple disease and is very easy to treat. Thyronorm is a very safe drug too.
