I wanted to know that one of my friend said me that if we are anemic also we feel same tingling sensation is that correct. Sir please answer thanks I apperciate
Tingling sensation can be due to a symptom of anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. However, based on your history you seem to be suffering from the symptoms suggestive of pinched nerve as a result of sitting crossed legs for extended periods of time. A pinched nerve occurs when tissues press on the nerve, causing tingling sensation or even weakness due to prolonged sitting for extended periods of time.
Many pinched nerves resolve on their own and do not need medical treatment. While you are resting, avoid sitting crossed legs, do gentle stretches and exercises in between periods of rest. Although it is very rare, similar symptoms can also be associated with anemia due to vitamin B12 deficiency.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
