My 3 yr old granddaughter is scheduled to have her tonsils removed because of repeated strep throat at least 6 or 7 times this year. There are many reports that state this surgery is not necessary for a child who has had repeated strep throat. What is your opinion? m
Hi , Thank for asking to HCM. In my opinion , repeated strep throat infection is a indication for tonsillectomy surgery . Tonsils itself became a source of repeated throat infection don't response to antibiotic .Repeated strep throat infection can cause heart & kidney problem . Hope this information helpful to you .
