Is Tooth Extraction Safe To Have When Having High HbA1c Levels?

Hi,
I have a patient with HbA1c levels around 8.0 measured the 1st of September. I m gonna extract 13 teeth (periodiseased and decayed roots) in one or two sessions. Dentures is the chosen therapy after the extractions. Ηis health is in a pretty bad condition at the moment. Ηeart arrythmia, valvulopathy, diabetes, some kind of myasthenia,. He's been through listeria a year ago. Should i go through the extractions if the new HbA1c measurement is less than 8.0?
Thank You

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain your patience is in a poor control range of HbA1c levels and it is a big NO to do such an extensive extractions done as he has a large number of deleterious effects..

His blood sugar levels needs a continuous monitoring for atleast a month and also you need to take fitness from his treating Physician and Specialist so that chances of any complications goes low..

Along with it once the blood sugar levels stay in normal range for atleast a month then it proceed for extraction otherwise not..

Hope this helps..

Regards
