Is Toupet Fundoplication Advisable For A Person With Distal Esophagitis?

Hi, i have gine through an endoscopy, a Bravo procedure, a Manometry.... Diagnosis was 1) Distal Esophagitis 2) Antral Gastritis. Dr thinks I should have a Toupet fundoplication.... Is that better than just live taking medication, forever ??? Is it worth to go under a laparoscopic surgery for that?

I really appreciate your concern, such finding and disease can be managed medically and it need to be given try for this only if this fails to responds then surgery can be thought hope this information helps.
