Hi! I am a sexually active (married 47 years), 68 year old, physically fit white male with bph that has started to affect my renal function. In 6 months my eGFR has gone from normal ( 60) to 23. If I don t eliminate the back pressure on my kidneys soon, I will probably end up in complete renal failure. I am seeing my urologist in 5 days to discuss my options. 15 years ago my prostate was 45 mg vs a normal 25. I don t know its exact size now; but I suspect that it is fairly large (65-85 mg). I would prefer to solve the problem with as minimal a procedure as possible; but do not want to risk dying from this in the next 2 years. My research tells me that TUMT may be my treatment of choice. Any comments?
