Is Transurethral Resection Of A Bladder Tumor The Best Available Treatment?
My husband has to undergo a transurethral resection of a bladder tumor in a couple of weeks. Should we try to get this done at the Princess Margaret hospital in Toronto for the best diagnois and care? We do not know what stage this is in but he has two small tumors and then a flat turmor that is the size of twoonie. Could you pleade give me some advice. Thanking you in advance for your prompt attention.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has two small and one flat tumours in bladder and he is scheduled to undergo endoscopic resection of tumour in near future.
If the tumours are superficial TURBT will suffice to eradicate his tumours.However since recurrence is very common even after resection of bladder tumours , he will need to undergo cystoscopic evaluation at frequent intervals (Every 6 months) .
