Is Traveling Safe After An Anorectal Abscess Surgery?
Hi, I have anorectal abscess. I have to travel abroad in the next 10 to 12 days and will be back by May 16, can I have the surgery or should I come back and go for the surgery. Would I be able to travel if I have the surgery? And, if i don t have the surgery, are there any antibiotics that I can take till I get back.
The pain that was caused by your abscess will probably go away right after surgery. But you may have some mild pain in your anal area from the incision for several days after the surgery.
So while traveling you may travel in sitting position for a long period of time, it may cause pain at the incision site.
Taking rest for 1-2 weeks after surgery is advisable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
