Is Travelling To Mexico Safe As It Is Known For Zika Virus?

I just found out that I am 4 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I scheduled a vacation to Playa Del Carmen months ago for this upcoming Saturday. I am a little worried about the Zika virus in Mexico. Should I try and cancel my trip or still go and just use a ton of bug spray with deet? We are staying at a resort and not the jungle. Thanks!

Hello dear. If you are pregnant it's better not to travel to areas endemic to zika virus, because zika virus infection can cause intra uterine growth retardation..
